veryone love to watch videos on youtube, but some of them know that "you can easily watch youtube videos in your VLC Media Player, Even you can Download it throw VLC'. VLC is a free and open source and most preferred media player for desktop that plays most multimedia files. You can simply Play Youtube Videos without Ads or Save Youtube Videos offline.
How To Watch and Save Youtube Videos Using VLC Media Player
Before you try this Trick, make sure that you have the latest version. I do not remember, which is the lowest version of vlc that suport Network Stream option, But i think you need atlist VLC 1.1 to use this trick. I am using VLC 2.1.2 to demonstrate How to Play or Download YouTube Videos Directly in VLC Media Player.
4 Steps to Watch Video Using VLC

1. Open the YouTube video that you would like to Watch or Save, and copy the link to the video from the address bar on your browser. like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RgKAFK5djSk
2. Now, open the VLC media player, Click on Media and select Open Network Stream Or Simply Use CTRL+N Keys.
3. Paste the URL into the text box, below the section that says 'Please enter a network URL'
4. Click on Play, VLC should play the video in few seconds.

5. Go to Tools > Codec Information or CTRL+J.
6. You will see a link in front of the section ‘Location:’ which is the Direct download link of the video file. Select Entire Link and Copy it.
7. Now, you use your web browser or IDM Software to Download video using copied link.
Using Web browser :
- Paste the copied link in the address bar hit Enter,
- Now Right click anywhere on your browser Screen and select the option 'Save Video As', Click on Save to save it offline.
Using IDM :
- Open IDM > Click on Add URL > Paste the URL into the text box and click 'OK'.
